Brought together again in Hollywood for a business
conference, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks,
filmland‘s most famous couple, are pictured with Sam Goldwyn,
left, and Charles Chaplin, associated in production
and ownership of United Artists. After the meeting Fairbanks
boarded a plane for the east and later rejoined Lady
Sylvia Ashley, his recent companion on a cruise, at Vancouver, B. C.

„Charlie Chaplin, who described himself as ,the forgotten
man,‘ told delegates to the United Artists sales
convention that he has changed his production policy and
would make at least one picture a year.
The comedian said his current, untitled picture
would be ready for release in September. It is about Charlie‘s
adventures in a huge factory.
Samuel Goldwyn announced that he, Mary Pickford,
Charlie Chaplin and Douglas Fairbanks had signed
ten-year contracts with the studio they own to make more
pictures.“
Modern Times world premiere will be in New York
Feb. 5, 1936 at the Rivoli Theatre.
