      Thirty-five minutes of continuous laughter, some

of it of the ,screamy‘ kind, is the record of the

Karno English Comedy Company, with its unique and ludicrous

offering, A Night in an English Music Hall. The

scene represents a music hall stage bordered with boxes,

whose occupants get mixed with the performers in

the most laughable ways, the climax coming with a wrestling

match between ,The Terrible Turk‘ and an inebriated

English gentleman.

      The company that presented the comical offering

is composed of fourteen very clever

farceurs, who keep things moving at a rapid pace.“ (...)
