romance is a publicity stunt, timed with the release

of „The Great Dictator.“ . . .  They claim it is on the level;

blame her for stupidity in going haywire just at the

moment when Chaplin was under his greatest nervous

stress. . . . Knowing her, it seems inconceivable

that she‘d pull such a stunt at such a time, because she

is extremely smart.
