& RIVERMA. – Charlie Chaplin is somewhat of a vegetarian,
and I guess his favorite vegetable is pie-plant.
Marjorie Rambeau is taking sewing lessons so that she can
make comfort kits for the soldiers, and Billie Rhodes
has volunteered to keep ten soldiers supplied with interesting
letters when our boys are called to the trenches.

„Elizabeth, Prince Albert, Sask. – Do try to see
Charlie Chaplin in The Vagabond. I just wanted
to hug him, he was so dear, and as a rule, altho I may laugh
at some of his funny antics, I have wished he wouldn‘t
draw the line quite so closely between comedy and vulgarity.“
