& SID COULD PUT

      ‘EM IN MUSEUM

The gasoline age has put a brand new problem up to

Hollywood which has just been revealed by Sid

Grauman‘s  presentation of Charlie Chaplin‘s „The Circus,“

at the Chinese Theater. There are no stables

where fine animals may be housed in comfort. A few years

ago every mansion boasted such.

Facing the problem of finding satisfactory quarters for

Poodles Hanneford‘s five ring horses, valued at

many thousands of dollars; Pallenberg‘s performing bears,

and other prize animals appearing in his prologue,

„Ballyhoo,“ Grauman‘s agents combed Hollywood to find

a stable.

„Harmony duetists“

Editorial content. „TWO PROGRAMS ARE ARRANGED

      FOR KNX BILL

Mirth and Harmony on Top In Program

      Arranged For Tonight

      ORCHESTRAS ON AIR

      Hollywood Night

to Be Broadcast; Other Features Are Arranged

Two programs of unusual interest will greet

listeners who tune to the Los Angeles Evening Express

station, KNX, tonight. The first is the Grauman‘s

Chinese Theater presentation of the Allyn Sisters, harmony

duetists, who have just returned from a triumphant

vaudeville tour of the East. Sister harmony acts galore have

been heard over radio stations for years, but none

have been as completely successful as have the Allyn Sisters.

An added attraction will be heard during the program,

when Marie Golden, pianist, is heard in continuation of the

musical memory contest. The broadcast, from 7 to

7:30 o‘clock, will be given in connection with The Circus,

Charlie Chaplin‘s latest picture, now showing at the

Chinese Theater.“

      Grauman‘s Chinese Theater, 6925 Hollywood Blvd., L. A.

The Circus is released by United

Artists in New York January 6, 1928.
