      There are enough big names on the American program

this week to mke the bill sound good, but sounding

and playing have oft been found the two extremes. This is one

of the ,ofts.‘

      The show starts not exactly slowly but rather fairly.

It never leaves that fair thing until the audience

is almost too tired to believe there is anything better than fair.

      The drawback is a lack of comedy in the first half

of the program. Cliff Gordon was ,No. 10.‘ Until then there

hadn‘t been a real good laugh in the proceedings.

Cliff woke them up a bit, and had them laughing.“ (...)
