      In commemoration of the Strand Theatre‘s

fourth anniversary, Manager Edel is presenting a special

gala programme of extraordinary attraction headed

by Charlie Chaplin in his latest comedy, to be shown exclusively

at the Strand, and Mae Marsh in the latest Goldwyn

photo-drama, The Face in the Dark.

      A Dog Life is said to be the funniest and best constructed

comedy in which he has ever appeared

      A Dog‘s Life at the Strand Shows

      Comedian at His Best.

      After a year of no production, Charlie Chaplin shuffled

onto the screen at the Strand Theatre yesterday

in a comedy called A Dog‘s Life, so called because throughout

the picture play he has a small bull pup with him

which shows remarkable intelligence and sense of humor.

It is a well constructed comedy in which the comedian

lives up to his reputation. He has left out much of the usual slap
