& Earnest young man, visitor at Charlie Chaplin‘s studio:
„I‘ve been reading about the high cost of producing
pictures, and I think I‘ve got an idea for a good comedy that
can be produced at very slight cost.“
Charlie: „All right. What is it?“
E. Y. M.: „The first scene shows Eve in the Garden
of Eden –“
Mr. Chaplin: „Oh, no –“
E. Y. M.: „Aren‘t you interested this morning?“
Mr. Chaplin: „No, I‘m not interested this
morning, nor this afternoon, nor this Eve. I don‘t care
Adam about any Garden of Eden picture.“
