CHARLES SPENCER CHAPLIN, now in our city for

the first time in ten years; we needn‘t say why.

He‘s living at the River Club and has been making the rounds

with H. G. Wells and Constance Collier, both old friends

of his. It‘s hard for him to sit through a movie, even one of his

own, but he intends to see as many plays as possible

while he‘s here. As for the future, he says that if Bernard Shaw

can be prolific at eighty-four, so can he.
