      Monday night will see the final performance at the

Capitol Theater of M-G-M‘s Strike Up the Band,

the musical starring Mickey Rooney, Judy Garland, Paul

Whiteman and his band and June Preisser.

Charlie Chaplin‘s production, The Great Dictator, will have

its world premiere Tuesday night.“

     The Great Dictator world premiere is in New York Oct. 15, 1940

      at the Capitol and Astor Theatres.
