& POLI‘S THEATER
Record-breaking crowds were again the rule at all
performances at Poli‘s theatre yesterday.
Attracted by the six-reel Chaplin comedy and the excellent
vaudeville program, patrons packed the theatre
to capacity at every show – and everyone in the vast audience
seemed immensely pleased with the program.
The Chaplin feature picture is proving the comedy
sensation of the „movie“ world. Chaplin, known
to millions of „movie“ fans as „the funny drunk,“ is featured
in a mile of film, in every foot of which there is real
comedy. Assisting Chaplin in the fun-making are Marie
Dressler, the musical comedy star; Mabel Normand,
a favorite comedienne of the Keystone company, and a very
large cast of minor characters.
