NEW YORK, Feb. 12. – Charles Chaplin is still
champion of the world.
His new comedy, „The Kid,“ has hit New York
a solar plexus. The Strand Theater on Broadway, which
houses it, is a perpetual riot.
The colored gent in livery who meets the autos
at the curb pleads piteously with the throng
that there aren‘t any seats, but it doesn‘t even check
the rush.
