Two brilliant premieres have engaged the attention of the
Cinemalite the past week. Premieres on the horizon
of coming affairs will keep alight the glow which began
in flamboyant fire with Charlie Chaplin in „The Circus,“ Friday
evening. (...) and no one who saw the brilliancy of the
Chaplin premiere at Grauman‘s Chinese Theater Friday night
can doubt for a moment the fitness of the words.

Regular Features to Occupy Portion
of Time During Evening
Marking the return to the air of one of radio‘s first sponsors,
listeners tonight to the Los Angeles Evening Express
station, KNX, located in the Paul G. Hoffman Studebaker
Building, Hollywood, will meet again „Hercules, the
orneriest, aggravatinist and the smartest mule ever.“ The
Hercules Gasoline Company, refiners and marketers
of „the gasoline with a kick,“ present radio programs with the
same characteristics, and the experiences of Hercules
and his owner, Tom, will furnish fans with many a laugh during
the coming season. Tom and the mule will ride into
the studios at 8 o‘clock and depart for their ramshackle
home at 9.
Grauman‘s Chinese Theater will present another „Circus“
program from 7 to 7:30, with J. Howard Johnson,
tenor, and Marie Golden, pianist, singing and playing old
favorites. The circus theme has been suggested
by Charlie Chaplin‘s latest picture, now playing at Grauman‘s
Chinese Theater.
