The culmination of a hasty courtship an speedy marriage

which took place several weeks ago with Eric

Campbell, film actor, and Eunice Gilman, sister of Mabel

Gilman Corey, as the principals, was reached

in the courts here when the bride started suit for divorce,

claiming cruelty.

Charlie Chaplin, was married this week to

Miss Pearl Gilman. The actor‘s bride is a sister of Mrs. W. E.

Cory, wife of the well known steel magnate. The

couple expects to go to Honolulu on a wedding journey

sometime in December.
