„Can you fancy the elegance“
Editorial content. „Notes of Society
By May Ridgway
TOMORROW evening will be given the most stupendous
program probably ever offered in Los Angeles, when
the friends – folk whose names read big in the theatrical
world and filmland – are to give of their service for
the Maitland Davies memorial, a memento to this fine and
kindly man, whose recent passing is a very deep
loss to the world of folk he loved.“ (...)
„Can you fancy the elegance of hearing and seeing
everything and every one, Tyrone Power, Richard
Ordynski, Bill Hart, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Chaplin,
Julian Eltinge, Douglas Fairbanks, Mary Pickford,

The memorial takes place Sunday night, July 22, 1917
at the Mason Opera House, L. A..
