UNDER a contract involving $500,000 concluded this
week between Elmer R. Pearson, vice-president
and general manager of Pathe Exchange, Inc., and Charles
Chaplin, Pathe has acquired the re-issue rights
to four of the famous comedian‘s screen successes – A Dog‘s Life, Shoulder Arms, A Day‘s Pleasure, and Sunnyside are
which Pathe will bring back into circulation as a result of the
