„Forget all their troubles“
Editorial content. „Tally‘s Broadway.
Charlie Chaplin‘s difficulties inShoulder Arms begin when
he is given a command to take his feet in and out,
and complications arise in which a private war is threatened
in Charlie‘s own company. The manual of arms
looked easy to Charlie until he tried it, and then the muzzle
of the gun insisted on stealing the position of the
butt. An egg-beater, a coffee pot, a jug and a multitude
of special pieces of equipment for his gun, all
find a place in his efforts for himself and miserable for his
bunkies. Charlie is making all those who visit
Tally‘s Broadway forget all their troubles and will do the
same for you.“
Talley‘s Broadway, 833 South B‘way (corner of 5th St.), L. A.
Shoulder Arms is released
by First National October 27, 1918.
