509 Main street, at 8:15 o‘clock Wednesday night,

the building without panic when notified of the blaze.
There was only slight fire damage to the Savoy theatre. The blaze
spread quickly in both directions, however, and
firemen were compelled to fight it from both sides of the wall. (...)
Reports that the blaze started in the operating
room of the Savoy theatre were branded false Monday by Chief
Charles Hafer. Machines in the operating room still
were intact and nothing in the room was burned, although
there was water damage.
