Well, I went to see Charlie (pardon me, Charles) Chaplin
at the Boston yesterday, and rather liked it in spots.
The big house was packed and it is on for another week. The
Hub has had Carmen served up in variety of late. You
all know how ,Jerry‘ Farrar used her film version gymnastics
in the operatic version to the horror of one Caruso,
and now we have a jolly burlesque. i hold no brief for Chaplin,
but it struck many here that he was right in wanting
it cut to two reels.“ (...)
